NCS: Tell us about your kicking business.

I turn kickers into offensive weapons. I realized that the onside kick is a game changer and a way to separate yourself from the pack. Everybody can kick a ball 50+ yds but not everybody can get you the ball back.  I will open up your eyes to a whole new world of kicking. Not only am I one of the most accurate kickers in the history of the Arena Football League, but I'm known as the best in the business when it comes to the onside kick. Mark Lewis Kicking is out of Central Florida and I will take your kicking knowledge to the next level. I have 11 years of kicking professionally on 9 foot wide and 15 foot high up rights.

This past Monday, Craig Hentrich (17 year NFL punter), Justin Snow (13 year NFL long snapper) and I held an invite only FA Combine for NFL and CFL teams in Mobile, AL.  The reasoning behind having this event was due to the fact that every NFL team would be in town for the Senior Bowl Game and practices held this week.

After talking with several NFL teams over the past couple of months, we determined that we were only going to invite a select few specialists.

I began Rafter Pro training in March of 2004. My initial reason for starting the company was to surround myself in my dream of being a pro kicker, help other athletes with similar dreams and goals and provide a living for my family. Now, I do it because it is a true calling for me and I love coaching. RPT does camps, lessons, weekly champions club, recruiting websites and films, PT sessions, consulting and athlete promotion.

Special Teams Academy was founded in 2011 and is based in Upstate New York. The company has a private turf field with NFL uprights and a highly-skilled strength coach on staff. When clients or coaches request it, we travel to them and 3-5 times a year we perform school special teams camps, clinics or lessons in Phoenix, Arizona and Ontario, Canada.

Vezina Kicking Dynamics is a chance for me to help young kickers, punters and snappers grow as athletes and as people.  Right now VKD is a one-on-one/ small group session operation with hopes of growing and running camps.  The goal of VKD is to mold my students into the best athlete they can be. We focus on proper stretching, perfecting mechanics, and mental preparation that allows the athletes to be ready for any situation.

Brian Jackson: Team Jackson Kicking develops kickers, punters and long snappers from the ground up at the youth, prep, collegiate and professional level. Our motto is to Visuzalize Believe Success and in order for that to work, players have to work on their mental game just as much as their physical game.

A few weeks ago, I hosted a College Senior Combine for all draft eligible specialists.  This was the first year for my event.  I had retired NFL punter Darren Bennett and retired NFL snapper Mitch Palmer help coach and evaluate at the combine.

Our goal was to provide a weekend event where we could share our experiences of actually playing in the NFL, so that these athletes would have a better understanding of what it takes and how to prepare for the next level.
